Retreats
There are many weekends when the youth are invited to take part in retreat settings. This may be at the church, at a conference camp, or at a weekend conference. These are great times for the youth and adults to bond and to grow together, while also retreating from our everyday routines and reflecting on our priorities.
2010 Spring Retreats and Parties:
30 Hour Famine: Feb 26-28 at Lakeshore
Come help raise money, food, and awareness for the World Visions Hunger campaign. 30 Hour Famine will be at Lakeshore again this year. Brace yourself for a weekend full of fellowship, laughter, fun activities and NO FOOD. Everyone is asked to begin their fasting on Friday after lunch however we will not be meeting at FUMC until 5:30 Friday night. On Saturday 6:00 PM we will break our fast and have a magnificent feast at Lakeshore. We will retrun Sunday at 3:00 PM.
$10 Prom: Sunday, April 18th 5-7 PM
We will be having another $10 Prom this semester! so bring out your mom's tackiest dress or your dad's sweet plaid pants. And come dressed in your hottest Good Will costume ready to dance! Only rule... your outfit must be under $10! See you there!
Super Bowl Party: Feb. 7th 5-9ish
We will be having our Annual Super Bowl Party with the best set up in Jackson TN. Bring lots of friends and we'll provide the rotel dip! Dinner and drinks will be provided but we are asking if you have the last name A-M bring desserts (cookies, brownies, cake...). N-Z bring snacks (chips, veggies, fruit, popcorn...). The games room and the gym will be open with lots of opportunities for fun!
