Retreats
There are many weekends when the youth are invited to take part in retreat settings. This may be at the church, at a conference camp, or at a weekend conference. These are great times for the youth and adults to bond and to grow together, while also retreating from our everyday routines and reflecting on our priorities.
Winter/Spring Retreats and Parties:
Lock-in on Love: April 1st
Beginning Friday the 1st and ending Saturday morning at 8 a.m. the current is having a Lock-in on Love.
$10 Prom: April 10th
Ever been to Prom? Well this is going to be so much better! Please only wear attire that costs $10 or less and be sure to wear your dancing shoes! While DJ Kp was pretty hopping last year this year Lambuth University's EMI band will be part of our on going party that will begin at 5 and end at 8 on Sunday April 10th. So Bring all your friends and get dressed up for the most exciting and fun prom you have ever been to!
Easter Egg Hunt: Palm Sunday April 17th

Fall/Winter Retreats and Parties:
Kick Off 2010:
An exciting night of Blow-up games, lots of pizza and ice cream, fellowship and a free t-shirt. We will end the night with a rocking band from Lambuth University's EMI program and Adam and the interns will present us with the word and an awesome devotional. BRING YOUR FRIENDS!
See You at the Pole Rally:
This year See You at the Pole will take place at First United Methodist in Clayton Hall. We will have the regular church wide dinner and after invite churches from all over Madison County to join us at 6:30 for fellowship, worship and an ice cream social. We will have a slide show from the morning of at school's around Jackson praying for our community, schools and our world. Hope we See You at the Pole on Wednesday morning and at First UMC on Wednesday Night
Senior High Canoe Trip:
As much fun as we had last year camping at Adam's house and canoing in his front yard this year we are REALLY going camping. We will be canoing down the Buffalo and camping at night. So bring your bathing suit, tent, sleeping bag and a can of beanie weenies! The cost will be $35 due by Sunday Sept. 26th.
City Wide 2010:
Wednesday Oct. 13th will be a night to remember. We will meet for 5 o'clock dinner at First as usual and then after clean up we will travel to Northside United Methodist to get a lil' LeCrae-Z with a Christian rap artisit. This will be a great opportunity to get to know the other youth froups in Jackson. The concert will start at 6:30. Have your rides pick you up at 9 at Northside UMC.
Share Fest 2010:
It's that time of year again; time to give back to our beautiful community. Please come out and join us on Saturday morning for ShareFest. We will be meeting at the church at 7 am! I know it's early but what better reason to wake up? We will start with a delicious breakfast and then head to our sights! This is a great way to spend some time with the rest of our church memeber, and other members of our community. So come out and represent FUMC youth! projects will finish by noon.
Junior High Night:
This year we week be taking our fantastic 6th-8th graders on an adventure to Woolfolk farm off exit 93. Woolfolk has many things to offer such as hayrides, and corn mazes. Come out, bring your overalls, and a good spirit because we will be having a lotof food and fun. Be sure to be ready for tons of middle school bonding. Meet at the church at 5.
BARF in the Hay:
Get your Halloween on because this year BARF in the Hay will be hosting a costume party! We will be going out to David Horton's farm for food,a hayride, a fire and LOTS of hot chocolate. So Bring A Real Friend and have them dress up for a fun filled Halloween night!
Fall Mission Day:
On Saturday November 6th we will be joining a couple of youth groups from the conference in a full day of work and play. Mark your calenders and invite all your friends. Times and details TBA.
Christmas Party/Christmas Parade:
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! December 5th and 6th. No quite Christmas but just as great. From 4pm-8pm we will be creating our anual Christmas Float on Dec. 5th, for the Christmas Party we will have food, dirty Santa, and a Christmas tree. Fa lalalala lala la laaaaa
