Wednesday Evening Fellowship Resumes Sept. 1
First Methodist Church in Jackson offers you a warm welcome and invites you to experience the fellowship of our church! One great way to enter that fellowship is by coming to supper on Wednesday Evening.
Starting at 4:00 p.m., when children’s music programs rehearse, Wednesday evening at FUMC is abuzz with activity! People of all ages—singles, couples, parents with young children, teens, college students, senior adults, and everyone in between—arrive in Clayton Hall at 5:00 p.m. for a delicious meal spiced with lively conversation and warm Christian fellowship. The casual buffet style supper is served from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m., with a special kids’ buffet featuring old-fashioned favorites for the younger generation. The cost of WEF supper is $6.00 for adults (14 and over), $3.00 for children, with a $20.00 family maximum. And for those away-from-home college students, the meal is on us. College kids, bring your friends and let us treat you to a home-cooked meal even better than mama used to make!
Following supper, Wednesday night offers a rich variety of activities for all ages: Bible studies, small groups, relationship studies, recreation, crafts, choirs, and handbells.
He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
- Micah 6:8
This casual, energy-filled evening is a great way to unwind, meet old friends and make new ones, and be fed both physically and spiritually. We can’t wait to welcome you there!
