Facility Naming Policy
Guidelines for Naming Facilities, Rooms, & Other Church Assets
Recommendations for the naming of facilities, rooms, and other church assets will be brought in the form of a motion to the Board of Trustees. The recommendation should clearly identify the key reason for the change based on the following considerations. Upon approval by the Board, the motion will be presented to the Church Council for their consideration. Approval by the Church Council will make the action official.
- Facilities that were envisioned and/or constructed under the leadership of a beloved pastor may be named for the pastor and/or the pastor’s family.
- Assets or facilities may be named for individuals who have made an extraordinary and long-lasting impact with their prayers, presence, gifts and service to the church.
Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired out by his journey, was sitting by the well. John 4:6
